GC Services is currently seeking motivated individuals for Sr. Treasury Manager at our Houston, TX office.

Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to overseeing Cash Management and Remittance Processing areas. Work with Assistant Treasurer on development of new processes and process implementations.

 

 

Essential Duties will include but are not limited to:

 

·         Oversee company cash

·         Cash Forecasting

·         Oversee Bank Accounts

·         Oversee electronic payments

·         Oversee daily cash position

·         Oversee daily cash reports

·         Bank liaison for resolving issues, obtaining answers, setting up accounts, etc.

Entry Level Staff Accountant

Summary:
Responsible for completing moderately complex accounting work in a team environment with limited supervision with some latitude for independent judgment and decision making.

Responsibilities:

·         Code invoices to appropriate income statement and balance sheet accounts.

·         Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts.

·         Prepare journal entries for corrections as necessary.

·         Prepare standard monthly journal entries.

·         Upload and verify manual journal entries for accuracy.

·         Work with operational and administrative centers to prepare adjustments and accruals for the monthly close process.

·         Analyze and compile variance explanations for P&L accounts during monthly close.

·         Perform analysis and prepare reports for special requests.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Up to 3 years of experience in general accounting functions.

PeopleSoft knowledge preferred

Working knowledge of GAAP

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Sr. Construction Project Manager

New Opportunity! Houston, TX
Sr. Construction Project Manager (Retail Construction – Big Box experience is a plus!)

$80K – $95K plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package

-Manage construction projects, including scheduling, meeting deadlines, monitoring project status and project budget responsibilities
-Review construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, overall workmanship and schedule compliance
-Ensure accuracy of construction status reporting, evaluate contractor performance, quality control and monitor project safety policies and procedures
-Partner with Store Design, external architects, structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and fire Protection (MEP) and civil engineers, and landscape architect as required through the project design and permitting process
-Partner with Real Estate department to the review and interpretation of project feasibility studies, including interpretation of the financial impacts on the design and construction of building projects
—Adhere to communication plans on projects to ensure project objectives and timelines are being met
Ensure the best management practices are implemented and followed to optimize the lifecycle of building components
Understand and implement corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and their financial impact on project activities
-Develop a thorough understanding of Client policies, procedures and safety rules
-Duties may change; may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

-High School diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or relevant field of study preferred
-10+ years’ experience in construction industry, preferably in big box retail construction
-Extensive knowledge of construction, design, and management experience required
-Proficient knowledge of facilities engineering, facility construction and facility maintenance operations
-Management experience to maximize contractor, subcontractor, vendor and associate performance
-Analytical, with strong problem solving abilities and creative resolution skills
-Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast paced environment
-Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment
-Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and interface effectively with individuals at various levels
-Ability to remain organized, pay attention to detail and meet critical deadlines
-Strong Microsoft Office program experience including Excel Word, and Project
-Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
