Level I –Pay: $13-$15HR DOE

(6 months to 2 yrs. of experience) — Familiar with all EIA/TIA standards. Capable of identifying, pulling and labeling Cat3, 5, 5e, Cat 6 and fiber optic cable. Installing support structures (J-hooks, support rings, cable slings and cable tray / ladder rack). Termination of work station outlets (110 style as well as Panduit). These techs potentially have some exposure to closet dressing, termination of closet equipment and multi-pair color code terminations. Some exposure to the “dummy” end of most test kits.

 

Level II –Pay: $16-$20HR+ DOE

(2 year to 4 years experience) — Familiar with all EIA/TIA standards. Capable of identifying, pulling and labeling Cat 5e, Cat 6/6A and fiber optic cable. Installing support structures (J-hooks, support rings, cable slings and cable tray / ladder rack). Termination of work station outlets and closet equipment (110 & 66 blocks, Patch panel). These techs have some exposure fiber terminations. Experience with both ends of basic level testing as well as high level testing and documentation. Termination experience with multi-pair / strand cable (Copper and fiber). Capable of reading blue prints, identifying cable paths and some assistance with site surveys, and bidding. Capable of leading small crews of 3-7 technicians.

Large Texas based electrical contractor is hiring licensed apprentice electricians who have a minimum of 6 months recent commercial field experience. Office location is on the Northwest side of Houston but work is all over the Metro Houston area. Most of the immediate jobsites are on the West, Central, and North side of town. All electricians must be licensed thru the Texas and have commercial field experience. No entry level or industrial work so please don’t apply if you don’t have the experience.

 

Experience/Requirements:

•  Must be able to run & bend EMT from 1/2″-1″ and be able to perform basic bends

•  Must be familiar with updated NEC codes & standards
