NIght Audit

Night Auditor – Copper Queen Hotel
Night Audit is a 3rd shift position – primarily 10 PM – 6 AM 4-5 shifts per/week

Our Night Auditors are responsible for performing guest service duties including check-in/check-out, answering telephones and reservations. Also responsible for posting and balancing charges and settlements for room, restaurant, banquet and bar daily work; producing accurate reports for hotel management; and resetting the systems for the next day’s operations.

Requirements: Prior experience at a property of similar caliber is required, hotel experience is greatly preferred. The ideal candidates will have excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills, stable work history, employment references and a professional appearance. Must be comfortable working with computers and have exceptional phone manners. Weekend and Holiday availability is a must.

Software Engineer, Scientific

Designs and codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specifications and development schedules.
Performs systems modeling, simulation, and analysis.
Tests and debugs assigned components and units.
Participates in large system and subsystem planning.
Collaborates with hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.
Writes and updates technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
Troubleshoots problems and provides customer support for software operating systems and application issues.
Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Provide programming support to implement physics-based algorithms into software code, and integrate codes into a GUI driven software suite.

– Assist in the development of GUIs to create, run, and display simulation results for an electromagnetic bioeffects code suite.

– Provide principal programming support for the Electromagnetic Modeling (EM) team writing new and maintain existing parallel codes and tools in C/C++ and Matlab to run on remote DoD and local High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters

– Research, investigate, and implement multi-scale biological modeling efforts.

 

8-10 years of related software development experience.
Demonstrated expertise participating in research and development activities including collaborations with researchers to produce new HPC/parallel computing techniques and applications.

 

Experience

Proficiency with C/C++ , MatLab,  Python, code integration, performance benchmarking, and optimization of scientific models in product applications.
Software testing and validation.
GUI design / programming in UI frameworks such as Qt.
Proficiency with threading constructs and design patterns.
GPU programming on Linux / Windows operating systems.
Developing cross-platform software products deployable on both Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
Integrating and testing applications on secure operating system environments.
Desired qualifications:

Experience with scientific visualization, and parallel scientific codes.
Experience with Finite-Difference Time-Domain modeling and/or finite element analysis and software

Ft. Bliss and TX Area Sales Manager

About the Job

W.S Darley and Co. is currently seeking a Texas Area Sales Manager.  Ideally this person would be located in the Ft. Bliss area and would be able to work from home as his or her base of operations.  Travel outside of the Ft. Bliss area may be 50%.  Darley is a 108-year-old family company that supports the fire and rescue market as well as the Department of Defense.

 

Responsibilities

·         Interface with key customers in the region within the states of TX, OK, AZ, NM including, but not limited to Army National Guard, Army Reserves, and Active Army Units, as well as other forces.

·         Develop relationships with military and government customers at all levels in the military community including: end users, supply, officers, KOs, etc.

·         Creatively address customer problems, becoming a true resource and solution provider

·         Understand contract/funding methods and assist customers in their use

·         Partner with suppliers to provide best products & values to meet customer requirements

·         Determine innovative strategies to win business

·         Understand and represent Darley products and services and carry out direct sales activities in order to meet company defined quotas

·         Update sales plan on a monthly basis for management team

·         Generate quotes for customers and assist them in identifying optimal funding vehicles

·         Develop working knowledge of contracting vehicles at the post level

·         Work with support teams (purchasing, accounting, warehouse, etc.) to ensure that all information is up to date in the system and that orders are delivered in a timely fashion

·         Regularly following up on closed sales to ensure delivery and quality were as promised

·         Make cold calls, face to face and via telephone prospecting to develop new business

·         Monitor and report on market and competitor activities

·         Interface with Local Law Enforcement, Federal Law Enforcement, and Fire Fighting agencies as required.

 

Minimum Requirements

·         Committed to providing exceptional customer service

·         2-5 years of experience selling to military or government highly preferred

·         Working experience with MS Office suite of products

·         Must be able to meet with customers outside under all weather conditions and must be able to travel by car and plane for long distances

·         Bachelor’s degree highly preferred, but prior sales & military experience may be substituted

·         E-7 or higher in last attainted rank

 

Other Qualifications

·         MUST be highly organized and able to juggle duties of both inside and outside sales

·         Support inside salespersons in quoting and following up with customers.

·         Excellent written and oral communication

·         Understanding of basic business financial concepts

·         Be able to budget own expenses in a cost effective manner

·         Able to use customer and prospect contact activities tools (CRM systems) and update relevant information held in these systems as required

·         Self-starter a must

·         Understanding of government contracts and purchasing vehicles desired

·         Prior JD Edwards experience a plus
